Place the ham in a large pot and cover with the ginger beer
Add the mulling spices and bring to a boil
Turn the heat down and simmer gently for 2 hours
Preheat the oven to 200C
Carefully lift out the joint out of the beer and score the skin, place in a baking dish and brush with the glaze
Place in the oven and bake for 40 minutes, pouring more glaze on every 10 minutes
Turn the heat up to 220C for the last 10 minutes to get a nice crunch on the skin
Leave to rest for 10-15 minutes before slicing
