Now I have to admit that I have not always been a fan of chilli, but since I created my F.G.S beer and horseradish sauce, I have found myself strangely drawn to the 'Hot Side'. My new found interest was further encouraged by the fact that my friends and many, many customers at various farmers markets seemed to be taking every opportunity to badger me about when I was going to produce a chilli oil. The breakthrough came when I met Sarah of 'Deer's Leap' Chilli farm.

Sarah is as passionate about all things chilli as I am about the world of Fussels and great British food and once we got chatting it soon became clear that she was also a near neighbour. Her chilli farm is tucked away in the woods around Longleat, about 5 miles from our farm as the crow flies. We soon agreed to work on creating the perfect Somerset Chilli oil and after much work, Fussels beautifully hot chilli oil was born.

I am very excited about what we have created here, drizzle it on salads or pizza, add it to stews and stir fries or indeed use it anyway you like as long as you like your food to hit your taste buds with a whoosh and a yahoo. You asked for it, now here it is, but remember always handle Fussels chilli oil with care...you have been warned! Enjoy...
